On one these past few days outside of the workshop, I got to check out the local snow castle here in Yellowknife, NT. As usual, I was blown away when I saw it. My favourite part was admittedly going down the slide and having such a blast crawling aroudn the little secrete tunnels hidden all around the castle. Wow! Even getting to see the relief carving that the carvers did on the interior walls is simply awe-inspiring. Even the lettering is so crisp and precise. I wonder how they achieved that.

On another note, lately, I've been visiting the hardware store alot more often. I've been checking out a certain book on concrete art by Sherri M Warner, and I'm beginning to learn more in depth about getting started creating things with concrete.
I got some metal lath, this 19 gauge square wire roll should do the trick. Although I will look more into about portland cement. I am getting closer to doing some portfolio exploration with concrete!
Stay tuned...
