Today I got started with a few things to take my sculptures to the next phases. For the walrus sign I added a bit of another layer of wood for where his arm will overhang onto the sign. I also added the metal wire for where the feather will be on his hat. Next for the Walrus sign, I will begin to add tinfoil to bulken him up and start painting the background. Today was a pretty great day. I got to glue some more layers onto the walrus sign and it holds up better than i had expected! I scratched my head for a while, pondering how i would make the armature for the tusks of the walrus, but then finally settled on drilling two holes in the snout area and then inserting a pair of thick wires.
